2. Brief Introduction `

• Deep Chand Bandhu Hospital is 200 bedded Secondary Care General Hospital & commissioned w.e.f. 22.02.2013 with OPD Services.
• The hospital aims to provide quality outdoor and indoor services free of cost on the minimum assured services set by Indian Public Health Standards, Government of India.

• Computerized Registration 
• OPD card is issued free of cost.
• Waiting time for registration is 10-15 minutes (average).
• There is facility for online OPD Registration through following web link:

• One can get himself/herself registered and then report to respective OPDs.

• Number of Counters- 4 in OPD
• Separate counters for (1) new patients (male), (2) new patients (female), (3) senior citizens/Persons with disabilities / DGEHS staff and (4) old (already registered) patients.

Special facilitation in OPD for Special Groups (differently abled/Senior Citizens etc. – details of facilitation) 

• Patients are seen at first come first serve basis. However, out of turn consultation may be provided in case of emergency. 
• Senior citizens and Persons with disabilities are given consultation on priority and seen by consultant one after every 5th general patient. 

Special facilitation in OPD for patients in EWS/DAK :

• Patients are seen as per recommendation of HOD/Sr. Doctors for various diagnostic as well as external referrals purposes like USG/Surgeries/MRI’s etc under DAK scheme organized by H&FW.

g. Inter-departmental referralis made on the same OPD card. However, the patient will have to stand in queue at the OPD referred.

5. Diagnostic Services available :-

• Pathology Lab (including emergency lab) - Location: 2nd floor, Room No. 2061. Spl./HOD(Pathology) : Dr Manoj Singh, Specialist Gr. II(Pathology)

Lab Tests available

• Hematology :- Complete blood count, ESR ,Peripheral smear examination, PS for MP.
• Biochemistry  :- Liver function test, Kidney function test, Blood sugar estimation, Lipid Profile   Serum calcium, Uric acid 
• Serology  :- Blood grouping, HBsAg Antigen, RA Factor, CRP, ASO Titer, Typhoid serology, Malaria Antigen, Widal Test, NS1 antigen, Dengue serology, Anti HCV, Chickengunia Card Test
• Other investigations :- Fine needle aspiration cytology, Semen analysis, Urine & Stool Analysis, Body fluid examination, Thyroid Profile

Process for Lab tests:-

• Sample Collection Centre: Room No 0024, Ground Floor
• Sample Collection Timing: Monday to Friday- 8 am-11.30 AM, Saturday- 8 am -10.30 am (Blood, Urine& Stool Tests);   
• Semen Analysis- Every Thursday, FNAC- Every Wednesday in Room no 1039, 1st Floor. IPD Block, Delhi
• Reports collection Centre: Room No0025, Ground Floor
• Reports collection timing: 8 am to 12 Noon
• TAT (Turn Around Time) for each Lab test (i.e. the time taken from collection of sample to availability of report)  
  • Routine hematology/biochemistry/serology/body fluid-48 hours 
  • Emergency Blood/Body Fluid investigation- 4 hours
  • FNAC- 7 days

6. Pharmacy :-

• Display of available/non available out hospital formulary: An electronic board has been installed outside the pharmacy that displays information about medicines available in the hospital. In addition all doctors are provided list of available/non-available medicines on every Monday. 
• Process of issuing drugs, special drugs etc: Medicines are usually given for five to seven days for OPD patients or one month longer for patients of chronic diseases, if prescribed by treating doctor. 
• Process for drugs not available: All medicines are supplied by CPA, Delhi Govt./Local Purchase/Hospital RC,If medicine/medicines are not available, doctor may prescribe an alternate medicine available in hospital. In the meantime CPA is informed and efforts are made to relocate them from other hospitals. In case emergency drug (s) are not available, the same is procured by the hospital through Authorized Local Chemist.

7.    Accident and Emergency Services for 24 Hours commissioned w.e.f. 17.09.2015

• Location, Timings, Ph. Number: Ground Floor of the Indoor Block, 24X7 services, Ph.No. 011-27305950
• Services provided: Basic emergency services & medico legal services, 21 observation beds, I/V therapy, Nebulization therapy, stabilization of moderately sick patients, non-operative management of fractures POP cast / slab application, Emergency X Ray services, Minor surgical procedures including CLW repair, suturing debridement and initial stabilization of road traffic accident cases, facility to give ARS to victims of dog bite. 
• Ambulance requisition Process: Through telephonic (landline) contact to CATS.  Approx. time interval is 10 min to 30 min to arrive at DCBH casualty. 
• Triage Process Details: Triage is performed as per national guidelines. Casualty has a dedicated team of doctors (Casualty Medical Officer, senior residents and junior residents) nurses and paramedics to provide emergency urgent medical services at the earliest possible time.  There is a provision of quick response team of doctors on monthly schedule to combat any disasters / mass casualty as per Delhi Government Disaster Management Plan.

8. IPD Services :

• 24 hours 200 bedded indoor services have started w.e.f. 17.9.2015. Patients of General Medicine, Pediatrics, Gynae&Obst. and Surgical patients requiring medical management are admitted.   
• Location: - Labour Room with Gynae Ward ( First Floor), 
  2ndFloor: -De-addiction Ward, PNC (Gynae Ward)
  3rd floor)- Pediatrics Casualty, Pediatrics Ward, Nursery
  4th Floor) General Female Ward, ICU
  5th Floor)-General Male Ward &
  7th Floor- O.T. Patients (Emergency & Routine OT.)

Covid Vaccination Centre: - Hospital is running Covid Vaccination Centre since Jan. 2021.
Covid Testing Centre: - Hospital is running Covid Testing Center since 2020.

9. Outsourced Services: Housekeeping, Security, Sanitation, Data Entry Operator, Nursing Orderlies, Registration (OPD/IPD/Emergency) & Kitchen and Dietary Services are in place. 

10. ICU& HDU (Intensive Care Unit):- 08 bedded ICU Services have started w.e.f. 04.02.2017 in 4th Floor (OPD Block) & 08 bedded HDU Services has started w.e.f. September, 2020

11. Dialysis Unit: - 10 bedded Dialysis services have started w.e.f. 09-08-2018 on outsource basis under PPP Scheme in 1st Floor (Indoor Block). 

12. Juvenile De-addiction Ward :- 30 bedded Juvenile De-addiction Ward has  started w.e.f. 16.05.2017 in 2nd Floor (Indoor Block)

13. Labour Room :-The Labour Room, Family Planning Services&Maternity O.T.(Emergency Services) Facility has started w.e.f. 11.08.2018 for 24 Hours in 1st& 5th Floor (O.T. Block)

14. Nursery: - 08 bedded Nursery + NICU facility has started w.e.f. 09.08.2018 in 3rd Floor (Indoor Block). 

15. OT Services: - O.T.Services have started w.e.f. 07-06-2018 for Surgery, Gynae, ENT & Ortho Department for general/routine patients in working hours 09.00 to 04.00 pm.

Emergency Main OT Timing as on date: - 8.00 am to 8.00 pm 
Days distribution for two OT’s will be as under:-

PAC: Room No. 4008, 4th Floor (ICU) Wed & Saturday, 9.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m.

Note:- 

• *Only cases of short duration (<1 Hrs) will be taken up in emergency OT in consultation with current status of Labour Room.
• **on Thursday cases Ortho/Gynea/Surgery will be taken up every alternate week by rotation.
• OT list for elective cases should reach HOD Anesthesia before 12 Noon one day prior to surgery.
• For every emergency OT case call requistion should be duly noted by HOD Anaesthesia/SR ICU before shifting the patient to OT. 

16. Blood Storage Unit is functional; however, Blood Bankfacility is not available. 

17. Complaints/Grievances
May contact Medical Superintendent for any grievances between 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. in the office of Medical Superintendent in R.No. 3015, 3rd Floor of Admn. Block. Every grievance will be duly acknowledged and redressed. 

Suggestions / Complaints can also be dropped into complaint box kept at G.F. near Room No. 0019 (enquiry counter), Ist Floor (Gynae OPD),  Entrance gate of Casualty, Ist Floor (Labour Room), 3rd Floor (Peads Ward), 5th Floor (Main O.T.)  in the hospital. The complaint box is opened by Grievance Redressal committee on every Monday. We aim to settle your genuine complaints within 30 Days of its receipt.
